Bungy Jumping in Queenstown

Even though I’ve lived in Queenstown my whole life, today was the first time I’ve ever been bungy jumping... It was incredible!

Just so you know, Queenstown is the ‘home’ of bungy jumping, and that’s what started off my town as the ‘adventure capital’ of New Zealand.

I went on a bungy called the AJ Hackett Kawarau Bridge Bungy. It was the first bungy ever built, not only in New Zealand, but in the world. It’s the smallest bungy that they had on offer – I thought I’d start small because it’s really quite a scary thought, plunging off a bridge down towards a river with only a rubber band holding onto you.

What an amazing experience! I definitely plan to do it again, hopefully sometime soon.

Well that’s all for now! <3 Susie :)

Introducing me and Queenstown

Hi there!

My name's Susie and I live in a beautiful little town called Queenstown, New Zealand.

Large_332 Queenstown is a town that I love and cherish. The purpose of this blog is to share my day-to-day experiences in the "adventure capital of the world."

First, let me tell you a little about Queenstown. Queenstown is located in the Otago region of the South Island, New Zealand, on the shores of Lake Wakatipu.

As a tourist destination, it's definitely not a place to get away from it all - Queenstown is a lively tourist town.

Beginning as a goldmining settlement, Queenstown has developed into a ski resort and further into a four season adventure resort town.

Well, that's an introduction. Check back soon for places to stay and things to see and do :)
